she was encouraged by her mother who made sure that she
took art classes during her summer breaks. Hart says she inherited
her talent from her father who was a gifted artist who inspired
her to persue art as a career. She received the AA degree for
Advertising Design from UDC and a Certificate for Fashion
Illustration from Ardis School of Fashion Design; the Bachelor of Fine
Arts Degree and the Master of Fine Arts Degree from Howard University.
She travelled extensively in researching her subject and thesis
titled "Josephine Baker: Using Imagery to Create and American Icon
Through a Framework of Social Identity Theory"
Ms. Hart's goal is to uplift the memory of Josephine Baker
through the images and products she has created.
